Creating Communities of Wholeness with Christ at the Centre
South Bristol Deanery is part of the Church of England Diocese of Bristol. It roughly covers the city of Bristol South of the river (See Map below for churches where you are.) Our Churches are a real gift to our communities, in every part of South Bristol we are praying and working with and for our neighbourhoods, by God's Grace. We have a huge range of buildings from the modern (less than a year old) to the ancient (more than a thousand years old) and every style of worship you could wish to experience. In every community there are opportunities to serve, learn and be refreshed. Somewhere in South Bristol there is a church and community that will be right for you.
We are dedicated to “Creating Communities of Wholeness with Christ at the Centre.” Nowhere else in South Bristol , except in its churches (of all denominations) will you find people dedicated to not only showing gratitude for all that we have but a real sense of wishing to share that gratitude with their communities. We work hard to be considerate and kind with each other and with those around us. We try and love, because first we were loved.
About Us
We are a group of twenty one churches. We work to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all those around us, so that they may come to know His life changing ways. In this often broken and cruel world we seek to help those near and far come on the same journey we are on. That journey is life long and life giving. We, as a group try and work in partnership whenever it is helpful to do so. We try and bring forward the gifts of everyone in our churches. We are grateful for the gifts of leadership we are given and we try and use them in a collaborative way.
